Therefore, take a look at the tips and links below. Take Care
9 TIPS (Side note: these tips are not in any order):
- If you are at a quick stop sign, it is ok to leave it in 1st gear.
- If you are sitting 30 to 45 seconds at a stop light, you are going to want to put the car in neutral and let the clutch out.
- The lower the RPMs, generally the better the gas mileage
- The higher the RPMs, the more power you will have
- 550 HP engine is capable of burning more fuel fast
- 1st GEAR = 0 mph to 5-15 mph
- 2nd//3rd GEAR = Main Gear for "CITY" cruising
- 4th GEAR = Higher speed roads of 40 mph
- 5th//6TH GEAR = For the highway speeds
- If you hold the clutch in too long (while not pressing the gas); the RPMs will drop all the way to idle speed (roughly 1,000 RPMs). You want the RPMs to drop a little while upshifting but not all the way to 1,000 RPMs
- Keep RPMs above 1000 RPM
- Never go slow in a higher gear
